What would you change about your life, if making a change didn’t feel so impossibly hard?
In the best of circumstances, this is the role that a psychotherapist can play in your life, a facilitator for positive change, someone who makes this process considerably less hard, possibly even enjoyable. I work with youth, adults and couples who suspect that their lives could be richer, more gratifying, more authentically experienced, if only they could make some simple changes.

Imagine sitting on the beach and running your fingers through the sand, digging a little deeper each time until deep trenches have formed. It gets harder and harder to change the direction of those trenches, the longer you dig in the same place. Sure, all it takes is lifting and redirecting your hand to a new patch of beach. Sometimes it takes a little outside support to make that happen.
I start by exploring your strengths and challenges, working with you over the first few meetings to assess your readiness for change and to arrive at objectives for therapy. By looking at significant relationships over the course of your lifetime we will begin exploring patterns while honing in on dreams for the future and the barriers that prevent you from achieving them. By helping you to increase awareness and authenticity, the goal is to strengthen your connection to self and others while bolstering your ability to cope with life’s hitches and hurdles.
